Two men have been arrested over a plot to kidnap Joss Stone.
The suspects ' aged 33 and 30 ' had travelled 200 miles to the 24-year-old singer's country home in Devon, South West England, from Manchester and were found carrying swords, rope and a body bag when police swooped upon them.
After detailed maps and aerial photos of the star's property were seized from the pair, it is believed they were planning a terrifying raid on Joss' home.
Detective Inspector Steve Parker told The Sun newspaper: "The men had information and items that lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offence."
Police were initially called to the scene of the alleged plot when neighbours saw two men "acting suspiciously" outside the star's property in Cullompton, East Devon.
A 20-strong team of detectives in both Devon and Manchester is now working on the case.
Joss ' who is a close friend of Prince William and has an estimated personal fortune of £9 million ' is being kept informed of any developments.
